Obligation is inspiration.

I love this phrase.

As soon as I heard it,

it struck me as so obvious

But I didn't think about it until I heard it.

"If you're obligated to do something, you have to be inspired to do it."

So, for example, I'm obligated to do this newsletter because I do it every Saturday.

Therefore, I have to find inspiration.

Inspiration doesn't always come from just being creative in the moment.

If you're put in a position, then you will find some inspiration.

And from a sales perspective, this is incredibly important because in the modern era of sales.

Your ability to create content, brand yourself,

To get your message across, increase the likelihood

that people think favourably of you,

which increases the likelihood that they will buy from you,

If you put yourself in the right place at the right time, and your product fits with them.

So put it out there that you're going to do a newsletter,

put it out there that you'll do a podcast,

put it out there that you post on LinkedIn every day,

Put it out there that you'll do a webinar.

And say it before you have it all planned.

Because once you've said it, then you have to plan it.

If you plan it first, there's no obligation to do it, and you won't be inspired.

And it works both ways.

Because it's inspiring to see people enjoy your content,

It's inspiring when people message you to talk about the problem that you're solving.

It's inspiring to get more sales,

which then encourages you to do more,

which then increases your willingness to do more content

to have more obligations

to have more inspiration,

to do more sales.

All in all, it just needs you to say you're gonna do something, and then you're obligated to.

And before you know it, you'll be a z-grade content creator like me.

😊 Get out there.
