Heaven or hell.
A guy dies.
He's given the choice of heaven or hell.
He's offered a free 24-hour trial of each one.
He spends 24 hours in heaven,
in the clouds, with the angels
playing his harp.
It was really good.
He's then given a 24-hour trial in hell.
It's a party.
All his friends are there.
It's all rock and roll.
It was really good.
He's then asked to make a choice of which one he wants to ‘buy’.
He says:
“Well, heaven was really fun.
I enjoyed my time there;
It was very calm,
but hell was amazing.
It felt just like a 24-hour party.
I think I'll go to hell."
So they put him in the lift.
They press the button to hell.
He goes down,
and when the lift opens down in hell,
It's a wasteland.
All his friends are chained up doing work
24 hours a day.
It doesn't look anything like what he saw in the trial,
And he turns to the devil and says,
“What happened? This was so different when I came for the trial yesterday!”
The devil looks at him and smiles and says,
"Ah, yes, my friend, yesterday you were a prospect, today you're a customer.”
😀
Don't let that happen to your customers.
Content of the week:
This week on The Sell, we’ve got James Barker.
If you’re on LinkedIn and in sales, you’ve probably seen his stuff.
He’s the fintech sales guy, and he says it like it is.
We talked about founder-led sales, AI, cold calling, hiring, content, personal brand, and why most CRMs are broken.
And yes, we may have invented two new companies live on the call.
If you’re in B2B and want to sell better, this is a must-listen.
Enjoy the one and only James Barker.
