Issue 35.

Courage.

Courage.

Not actual courage,

like in the real world.

That's not what I'm talking about.

I'm just talking about sales courage,

What it is and why you need it.

I was talking to one of my favourite clients the other day,

I was asking him why he doesn't post more content about himself.

He said, "Because I don't have the courage."

I think he nailed it.

To post about yourself takes a certain type of courage.

As I said, not real-world actual courage,

More just the realisation that it doesn't really matter.

It's not about you.

It's about you telling your story.

So that people who want to buy your product

Know you a bit better before they meet you,

So they're more likely to buy from you.

It's the courage to realise that no one really cares.

No one really thinks too much about it.

At the end of the day, they don't sit at home thinking deeply about that LinkedIn post that you did.

They all go home and watch Netflix.

It's so insignificant, your post.

The fact that you think that other people will laugh at it or think it's silly,

That's all in your head.

The reality is that people buy from people.

And people like people because they like their story.

Tell your story.

So people will probably like you more,

and if they like you more, they'll buy from you.

It's been like that for hundreds and thousands of years.

It's not new with social media.

It is how humans interact with humans.

Selling is the purest form of that.

So get up a bit of courage and tell your story.

Because you know what, it doesn't really matter.

And no one really cares.

Get selling.
