Forward.
It is the only way.
We all know that.
No one’s going backwards.
Clocks are not changing.
Things happen, or they don’t.
They don’t always happen how we want.
I’ve definitely learned that myself.
The trick is what we do with the past to change the path forward.
Option 1:
We can stop
Complain
Blame others
Or Option 2:
Take a minute
Accept
Smile
Go again
Only that little bit better
So when the:
Client says no.
Client doesn’t reply.
Client doesn’t sign.
Deal falls apart.
No leads come in.
Pipeline doesn’t move.
Your choice, option 1 or option 2?
Of course we don’t do exactly the same thing again.
We know the phrase:
“Repeating the same action, expecting a different outcome is the definition of insanity.”
Instead we think: what can we improve?
What can we do better?
What have we learned?
Remember this, people: it’s not the client’s fault, it’s us.
Could we have followed up better?
Could we have done more research?
Could we have sold benefits not features?
Could we have listened a little bit more?
Could we have changed our pitch deck?
Could we have posted that one extra piece of content?
Could we have done more lead-gen?
There are so many things to do to move forward.
We don’t ignore the past but we figure it out, we accept it, we smile, and we move forward.
Then comes the magic bit, the 4-hour trick.
If you really want to find out if people want to buy your product, do this:
4 straight hours every day for 100 days.
Only do outreach.
Turn off every other notification and have no other meetings.
Set the alarm clock.
Do emails
Calls
DM’s

4 hours straight of outreach every day for 100 days.
If you do that and no one buys your product, it’s the product.
Another thing is you’ll just learn a ton every day.
So you’re going forward and learning more.
It’s what the absolute best do:
Suck it up, get back at it, and be relentless.
Relentless in one direction, forward.
With a smile,
Lets do it
Content of the week
We put the band back together.
My former podcast host, Dani Galarza, comes on the show.
We used to host Wealth Tech Unwrapped, Bambu’s podcast.
Now she is on The Sell to talk about getting stuff done.
No one’s better at getting you motivated to do stuff than Dani.
As we’re talking about going forward, the perfect episode.
